Student Council
One school-wide objective and outcome of Vientiane International School is that students are creative and and critical independent thinkers with life-long learning skills. To meet this objective, VIS offers opportunities for its learners to participate in student council.
Secondary Student Council
The Secondary Student Council is comprised of interested students and Advisors who are committed to the ongoing project of ‘Youth Educating Youth’; a project that looks at making a difference in the lives of peers and those within the Lao community. The Student Council endeavor to make the school environment a welcoming and friendly place for learning and fun. As advocates for the student body, Council members are positive change-makers, they create events, improve student life and school spirit, help the community and assist the school in developing a safe physical, social and emotional environment that celebrates creativity, diversity and achievement.
The VIS Secondary Student Council believes ‘Anything is Possible’ and through respect, open-mindedness and a collaborative approach with each other and a variety of other groups, make a difference in the lives of students at VIS.
