Application Fee: A $1,000 payment must be made for each new student applying to VIS. The payment must be made prior to the entrance assessment and is non-refundable and non-transferable, unless the student is not accepted.

TUITION FEE |
|
Tuition Fees: Tuition fees are determined by grade level. As per table below, there are four categories of fees: Early Years, Prep to Grade 5, Grades 6 to 8 and Grades 9 to 12. Tuition fees are used to provide for all annual operational cost incurred in delivering the prescribed programmes. |

Annual Capital Fee: A $2,300 payment must be made for each student enrolled in Prep through to Grade 12. The Annual Capital Fee is non-refundable under any circumstance and must be paid in full before 1st August 2013. For students who enroll during the school year, the fee is payable within 3 working weeks after the date of enrollment. The capital fee is used to provide for the development of VIS facilities and all major capital items. It is also used to service debt as part of the development of the school.

IB Fees: Grade 12 students will be charged exam fees as an additional cost. Bus Fees: A limited bus service is provided for students residing in Vientiane Capital. The cost of the bus service is $500 per semester (both pick-up and drop-off), or $950 per year. This service is optional. Mother Tongue Programmes: German Mother Tongue: Annual fee $1,850: Semester fee $925 Lao Mother Tongue: Included in the main tuition fee schedule All other Mother Tongues: Payment directly to teacher.

Lunch fees: A caterer provides an à-la-carte menu cooked on the premises for all students. An annual meal card can be purchased that provides a daily meal, starting from 8h August 2013 to June 13th 2014. This service is optional and is payable directly to the caterer. |
Discounts:
Families with three or more children simultaneously enrolled in the school, receive 10% discount for the third
child and 10% for each child thereafter on tuition fee only. The discount will first be applied to the youngest child
and then to the next youngest child. Families are eligible if the invoice is NOT paid part or in full by an
organization, government or company.

FEES AND PAYMENT POLICY |
|
Tuition and payment responsibility: Parents/guardians are responsible for payment of all school fees, even if the fees are paid by a third party, or are reimbursable to the parents. Payment for the 1st semester must be made before 1st August 2013 and for the 2nd semester before 13th January 2014. For students who enroll during the school year, the fee is payable within 3 working weeks from the date of enrollment. Please take note that the school shall take action to suspend the student’s right to attend classes and other school activities should school fees remain unpaid by 1st September 2013 for the 1st semester and by 14th February 2014 for the 2nd semester. Students will not receive report cards or transcript of records if school fees remain unpaid by the end of the school year.
New students enrolling after the commencement of a semester will pay for the entire term. Students withdrawing within the semester or after the commencement of the semester will not be entitled to refund. However, if the annual tuition fee has been paid upfront and the student withdraws before the start of the 2nd semester, the 2nd semester tuition fee will be refunded in full. Board Policy: Vientiane International School sets its annual fees based upon projected income and expenses. In case of severe financial problems, the Board of Directors reserves the right to revise fees or the fee policy at any time during the school year.
