CIS Award for International Understanding is awarded to a student who is a good
representative of his/her country, has a positive attitude toward life and culture of others, is
able to converse in at least two languages, is a contributing force in the life of the school, and
has an ability to bring differing people together into a sense of community, thus furthering the
cause of international understanding. There are no limitations in respect of the age,
nationality, class or level of academic performance of the recipient. Students are nominated
and selected by VIS staff for this award.
