MRISA 2008/2009

Last weekend we had the annual planning meeting in Bangkok for all Athletic Directors from the 8 MRISA schools. At this meeting it was decided to change the format of MRISA tournaments for the 2008/09 school year. The reasons for this change are primarily out of concern for the welfare of participating students. Previously attempting to play two sports over two days was physically stressful to students, and they often returned home in no fit state to attend school the next day.

The new system consists of three single sport tournaments at each level with Softball dropping out, meaning there will be two playing days for each sport, and each student will play 5 games regardless of results earlier in the tournament. We are confident this new format will result in a healthier and more enjoyable experience for all involved. Below is the schedule for next year’s tournaments.
