 Grade 3 Teacher Assistant
Ms. Mai has worked at VIS since 2000. After receiving her B.A. in English from the National University of Laos and business diploma from European Asian Business Consultant College (EABC), Ms. Mai taught Grade 1 Lao and Grade 4 English at Progress High School, a private school here in Vientiane. Currently she is studying her M.A. in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at the University of Laos. Mai was born and raised in Vientiane. She loves children. "Seeing smiles on the students' faces" is to her the best part about teaching. Ms. Mai likes playing all kinds of sports and making lots of friends. Mai coordinates Lao language integration into the Primary years curriculum. She teaches Lao to Non-Lao students as an afternoon activity, and is one of the language instructors who helps newly arrived teachers with Lao language skills.
