Pat Hallinan or "Ms. Pat," is from Melbourne in Victoria, Australia.  She holds a general Teaching Diploma as well as specialized Graduate Diplomas in Adolescent Health and Welfare, the Education of Culturally Diverse Students, and Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL).

 

Before joining VIS in 2002, Pat taught a variety of subjects and grade levels in Melbourne and Darwin, Australia, as well as in Scotland.

 

When asked what she likes best about teaching, Pat replied, "continual learning from others".

 

Pat has had a variety of responsibilities in schools; she has taught classes ranging from Grade 3 to Grade 12 and has held a number of administrative positions including Deputy Head.

 

When not busy with schoolwork, Pat enjoys reading and socializing.  She has traveled widely and enjoys every aspect of living here in Laos.
