 Secretary to the Director
Receptionist Ms. Jamie is into her second year at VIS. She assists Mr. Alexander in day-to-day school operations, and also provides services as receptionist and first contact for new VIS families. Born in Vientiane, Ms. Jamie and her parents moved to Australia as refugees when Jamie was five years old. She returned to Laos with Mr. Cameron in January 2006 for a wedding, and decided to stay instead of traveling as they had planned. Jamie received her education in Australia, including certificates in Small Business Management and Mortgage Lending before she attained an Advanced Certificate in teaching English as a Second Language. Currently she is finishing her studies in Marketing and Project Management through Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Ms. Jamie is pleased to be part of our education family, and looks forward to many more years at VIS. When she’s not working or studying, she enjoys spending time with Mr. Cameron and their two kittens Merry and Pippin.
