The VIS School Board has mandated that the school become an IB World School and implement all three programs. During the 2006-07 school year VIS received candidate status for the IB Diploma Program and the IB Primary Years Program. During the 2007-08 school year VIS will undergo formal authorization for the IB Diploma Program and will do the same for the Primary Years Program in 2008-09.
